Animal portrait artist Ann Seward is internationally renowned for creating the most amazingly lifelike horse portraits and pony portraits. Each horse portrait and pony portrait is an authentic, accurate and totally lifelike evocation of the equine subject, which projects the very attitude and aptitude of the animal into each portrait. Meeting each subject personally Ann is able to recognise their individual personalities, characters and idiosyncrasies. She takes a set of colour photographs, makes notes on bone structure, colour, markings, blemishes, etc., and then gifted with a photographic memory she recalls each subject when creating the beautifully detailed works of art in her studio. To further personalise each portrait Ann can add pencil remarques to the horse portrait or pony portrait. These can either depict the equine in various positions and situations, it's aptitude or to illustrate the relationship with it's owner.
